Men’s Basketball Preview

Kevin Baker (Point Guard, #1)

Kevin Baker attended Madison Preparatory High School in St. Louis, Missouri. This is his 2nd year with PSC, but has been playing basketball since he was 5 years old. He says the team is “pretty prepared” for this season. His strengths include getting the team involved and shooting. His weakness is communicating more with his teammates.

Shamar Johnson (Power Forward, #2)

Shamar Johnson attended Pine Forest High School, but is originally from New Haven, Connecticut. This is his 2nd year playing for PSC. He has been playing basketball since he was 4 years old. His strengths are boxing off and scoring. His weakness is dribbling. Shamar loves to play paintball.

Kieran Williamson (Point Guard, #3)

Kieran Williamson attended Rutherford High School in Panama City, Florida. This is his second year playing for PSC, but has been playing basketball since he was 2 years old. He believes the team is prepared for the season, and they have a lot to show people. His strengths are his quickness and defense, with his weakness being his height. Kieran loves music.

Deontaye Curtis (Power Forward, #4)

Deontaye Curtis attended Hoover High School, living in nearby Birmingham, Alabama. This is his first year with PSC. He has been playing basketball since 7th grade. His strength is being able to shoot the ball very well. Deontaye loves to eat mac and cheese.

Johnell Ginnie (Shooting Guard, #10)

Johnell Ginnie attended Raines High School in Jacksonville, FL. This is his first year playing with PSC, but has been playing basketball since the 9th grade. He believes the team has a few things to tweak, but the team is ready to “do what we gotta do.” His strengths are scoring, shooting, and defense. His weakness is coming off ball streams. Johnell loves to draw.

Keir Anderson (Shooting Guard, #12)

Keir Anderson attended Middle Early College High School in Buffalo, New York. This is his first year with the team. He has been playing basketball since his was 6 years old. When asked about his thoughts on the team’s future in the season, he said “I think we got a chance to make a run at the national championship.” His strength is his ability to score the ball from different places on the court. His weakness is his defense. Keir loves to eat apples but hates apple pie.

Justin Johnson (Point Guard, #15)

Justin Johnson attended Forest Park High School in Baltimore, Maryland. His basketball experience dates all the way back to when he was 8 years old. This is his first year at PSC. He says the team is prepared for the season. His strength is his good work ethic. His weakness is shooting 3-pointers.

Jamal Thomas (Shooting Guard, #22)

Jamal Thomas attended Bill Crothers High School near his hometown of Toronto, Canada. He has been playing basketball since he was 6 years old. This is his first year playing for PSC. His strength is his 3-point shot. His weakness is rebounding. Jamal listens to jazz music before games to help calm him down.

Lens-Harly Louis (Power Forward/Center, #25)

Lens-Harly Louis attended Florida Air Academy in Melbourne, Florida. He is originally from Montreal, Canada. This is his first year playing for PSC, but has been playing since the 6th grade. He says the team is “getting better every day.” His strengths are close move rebounding and defense. His weakness is dribbling. Louis knows how to speak French.

Tyrone Culbreth (Small Forward, #30)

Tyrone Culbreth attended Fort Walton Beach High School. He is originally from Albany, Georgia. This is his 2nd year playing for PSC, but has been playing basketball since he was 5 years old. He believes the basketball team is “ready to take it all the way” and win the national championship. His strengths are defense, hustling, and passing. His weakness is making 3-point shots. Tyrone used to play soccer in high school.

Darrion Stokes-Graham (Forward, #32)

Darrion Stokes-Graham attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. He has been playing basketball for 15 years and this is his 2nd year with PSC. His strength is being able to shoot the ball. His weakness is his athleticism; not being able to jump as high as the other players. Darrion has his own clothing line.

Rozelle Nix (Center, #34)

Rozelle Nix attended Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is his second year playing for PSC, but has been playing basketball since the 9th grade. When asked if the basketball team is prepared for this season, he said “Yes, we are really prepared.” His strength is battling the east center. His weakness is defense. Rozelle is a very cheerful person.
