Real Talk with J: Tattoos…Are they just a trend or something more meaningful?

There are many Pensacola State College students with tattoos, and a popular choice for some is to put the name of a family member, loved one or child on some part of their body.

Others take being religious to another level by letting everyone know that their judgments won’t bother them, and it’s only one’s judgment that matters.

One student’s beautiful creation consists of a symbol that represents something she truly believes and supports, yet another’s just looked cool to the person and that’s why he got it.

Yes, tattoos are trendy, but before you’re quick to judge a person about why he or she got a certain tattoo, maybe you should go and ask the person about it.

A tattoo can represent your homeland, personality or beliefs, but maybe it’s just to prove a point.

If you decide to get a tattoo, go for it.

If you don’t want a tattoo, that’s your opinion and no one can force you to get one; it’s your body.

A special thank you to those who showed off their beautiful tattoos: Keith Colins, Amanda Grandmont, Ben Atkins, Elijah Blackmon and Zach Brown.

This has been Real Talk with J, and once again I would like to thank you all for the questions and topics that you’ve been sending in and I encourage you to send more.  Have a wonderful day.
